Dr Ramon Baba

Dr Ramon Baba is a fully qualified specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. He grew up in Perth and commenced his dentistry studies at the University of Western Australia. After some time in clinical practice he decided to pursue his passion for surgery and undertook hospital placements in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the UK and New Zealand

He studied medicine at the University of Queensland before returning to WA. As an intern he was awarded the prize for practicing with the greatest compassion at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. He subsequently spent 2 years in the fields of plastic surgery and general surgery before commencing his specialist training. He completed his training in 2017. Dr Baba then undertook further fellowship training. In Korea he studied with Prof Yong Ju Jang, one of the world experts in Asian rhinoplasty, and one of the top 10 cited academic authors in rhinoplasty. In the UK he studied under Dr Mehmet Manisali learning techniques of rhinoplasty, orbital and oculoplastic surgery, and facial reconstruction.

Dr Baba’s specialist interest involve: facial plastic surgery, complex orthognathic surgery, dental implants, facial recontouring and cosmetic surgery.

Dr Baba has been operating with Adelaide Oral and Maxillofacial Centre since February 2019, eventually assuming the role of principal surgeon. He is very excited about leading the practice into new heights at the cutting edge of surgical excellence.

Dr Jacques De Wet

Dr Jacques de Wet received his dental qualification in 2006 (BchD) followed by a post graduate qualification in Oral Surgery in 2007.

He has previously worked in South Africa as a dentist in private practice and also at various hospitals removing wisdom teeth and assisting for Maxillo Facial and Oral surgeons.
In 2010 he moved to South Australia and commenced working as a dentist for SADS, Gawler Hospital, Eyre district, Copper Coast and Yorke Peninsula regions, including Wallaroo where he and his family are based.

Dr De Wet is passionate about oral surgery, with a particular interest in third molar surgery, implants and bone grafting procedures. Dr De Wet works between our country locations; Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Whyalla and Jamestown. He is looking forward to meeting you and providing excellent dental treatment to all his patients.

Dr aRYa rao
B.D.S. BScDent (Hons)

Dr Arya Rao graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours. He was awarded the Eustace Travelling Award for his thesis centred on the management of patients with facial deformity and has since worked at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide Dental Hospital.

He has sat the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Primary Examinations, achieving the dux of histology along with commendations in anatomy, physiology, cell biology and biochemistry,

Dr Rao is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide in order to pursue his long-term goal of becoming an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. 

In his spare time, Arya enjoys long distance running and listening to his record collection.
